Summer term 1966. The head boy - who had better remain nameless - was a bit of a pain. One morning at break we tied him to a chair and put him out on the roof. A master (Mr Eliott rings a bell; did we have a teacher by that name?) came up to see what the commotion was all about. He obviously sympathised with us because he took a brief look and simply said "don't leave him out there too long...".

in 1966/9 the upper floor was the 6th form common room and 2 teaching rooms.
Not forgetting the infamous "roof"!!!
